Abstract

Illness is a deforming encounter with the unknown and subtly dismantles the individual's system of certainties. It is essential that educational action penetrates the care contexts and promotes meaningful pathways and valid aid: cinematic narrative in the training of care professionals could be a valuable tool to guide their choices; the filmic image gives to the sick person a renewed sense of belonging, self-rediscovery and the recovery of the suspended one’s life.
