The aim of this article is to highlight the role of emotional education in the healthcare sector. Educating healthcare professionals in the science of emotions and the chemistry of well-being, today more than ever, represents a fundamental objective for building a healthy and effective care relationship. Teaching the key principles of Emotional Intelligence and the Metodo D.O.S.E.® means training empathetic professionals, capable of greater self-control and active listening, able to tune into the patient’s emotional experience and stimulate the endogenous production of neurotransmitters and neurohormones of well-being to the advantage of one’s own and others’ quality of life, thus fostering care centered on the person before the pathology.
