Narrative and metaphor act as primary prompts for the formation of mental representations and are thus elective tools and methods of investigation in the human sciences. Indeed, it is not possible to converse about education and training while neglecting the representations through which meanings are expressed. Education, as a key category of pedagogical discourse, is an activity open to exchange that takes place in dialogue and relationship. The latter assumes a primary role in the processes of knowledge co-construction, acting as the supporting structure through which individuals give meaning and organisation to the complexity of the surrounding reality. The relationship is also configured as the original substratum from which cinema draws its inspiration. This contribution intends to shed light on the possible declinations concerning the use of images and cinema in the training settings of healthcare personnel.
