The paper explores the intersection between artificial intelligence and disability, with a specific focus on how new digital hybrid systems are transforming educational and inclusive processes for people with visual impairments. The potential opportunities offered by AI to improve the quality of life, in education and social participation, are investigated, while also recognizing the pitfalls posed by algorithmic biases and poor accessibility.
