This article is the result of the collaboration between the Degree Course in Physiotherapy and the Chair of Pedagogy of Dicam (University of Messina). Its main purpose is to suggest an educational intervention to students, trying to raise awareness about the importance of the relationship established between a health-care provider and a patient for a better outcome of the rehabilitation journey. It investigates, from a Rog-erian perspective, how using the empathic listening, creating a comfortable environment, working both at an emotional and physic level, can make the difference. Answering scientifically to specific problems is not enough. The human side must be taken into account as a whole, not in a sectoral way.
