The contribution, starting from an examination of the
complexity of today's society, intends to deepen the motivations underlying
an ever greater "need for pedagogy" and, therefore, of pedagogical research between formal, non-formal and informal, to arrive at educational training and professional pedagogy. The legal recognition of the socio-pedagogical professional educator and pedagogist, with the Law of 27 December 2017, n. 205, officially assigns non-formal
education to Pedagogy as a field of action and research and the training of its professionals as a task.
