This contribution, starting from a brief review on the relationship between music and emotions, functional neuroanatomy and the characteristics of autobiographical memory in Alzheimer’s disease, intends to present musical autobiography as an art-based pedagogical device in order to stimulate transformative, training and self-training processes in elderly subjects affected by mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer’s.
